Happy Christmas!

Have you been journalling your Christmas Memories? I’ve been writing and then going back to compare them to my 2010 version. Here's the one I wrote this year for December 4th.

December 4th - Christmas Cards

In 2015 I finally broke down and started sending e-Cards for Christmas. I do order a few printed cards to send to those who are not comfortable online. As the girls have gotten older and we’re not living near each other, it’s harder to get the photographs to put on the cards. I’ve also stopped sending the annual Christmas Letter (although I love getting them from family members, and keep them filed in their genealogy files). The girls become quite annoyed when I ask for a short paragraph on their activities over the past year and when I write it myself, the information is either wrong, or the same as the previous year. I give up! I love Christmas and go all out, but evidently that Christmas gene didn’t pass down.

This year I grabbed photos from various places. I always have a lot from Meagan as each year since Colby was born she has had a shared album. The girls are usually together in July when Kelly does a church supply in Maine for two weeks. There are a number of chapels along the Maine Coast that are only open during the summer, and therefore don’t have full time clergy so they bring in clergy from other locations to do Sunday services and any weddings or funerals. The church provides the housing, so basically it’s a two week vacation on the coast of Maine! Meagan lives in the same area and Sarah goes up from Boston. So this year I stole a couple of pictures from Meagan, re-used a picture of Kelly and Alex (along with their dog Tucson) from the Blessing of the Animals in October and a picture of Brian and me from our cruise to Canada in September. You do what you have to do!

I know it's a busy time, but I hope you've taken the idea and prompts and written about your holiday memories. I can guarantee you'll enjoy reading them in the future.

I wish you all a very Happy and Blessed Christmas and Healthy New Year.

Happy Hunting!
