Day 9 - Final Day in Belfast

Updated: Dec 26, 2018

Final Dinner at George's Market, Belfast

It’s hard to believe that the week has ended.  It’s been busy, with visits to PRONI, the Ulster Historical Foundation, the Ulster American Folk Park and Mellon Centre for Migration Studies and the North of Ireland Family History Society.  Today each researcher could choose where they wanted to research.  Most chose to research at PRONI, however, a few settled on sightseeing and one person visited her ancestral towns in Portadown and Lurgan.

Our final dinner was at George’s of the Market, a restaurant overlooking St. George’s Market, the oldest market in Belfast. About half the group will be moving on to Dublin for the next week, and to those returning home, safe journey.  Perhaps we will see you again next year.

   Happy Hunting!
